2. Bookings
Bookings may be made through our website, our online booking system or directly with PURACERÂMICA where applicable.
A booking is subject to availability. Where advance payment or a deposit is required, the booking is only considered confirmed once the required payment has been received.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact and booking information.
3. Prices and payments
Prices shown on our website or booking platform apply to the service described at the time of booking.
Where a deposit is required, the amount paid will be deducted from the final amount due for the relevant booking.
Special group bookings, private events, schools or institutions may be subject to an individual quotation and additional written booking conditions.
4. Cancellations and changes
Unless different conditions are stated for a particular service or agreed with us in writing, the following cancellation policy applies:
- 14 days or more before the booking: cancellation free of charge and refund of amounts paid.
- Between 7 and 13 days before the booking: 50% of the amount paid will be refunded.
- Less than 7 days before the booking: the booking is non-refundable.
For cancellations made less than 7 days before the booked date, we may offer the possibility to reschedule instead. The alternative date will be proposed by PURACERÂMICA and is subject to availability.
Any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law remain unaffected.
5. Late arrivals and no-shows
Please arrive on time for booked workshops, courses and reserved sessions.
If a participant is more than 30 minutes late without prior agreement with us, we reserve the right to release the reserved place and cancel the booking.
A late arrival may reduce the time available for the activity, and we cannot guarantee that the full planned project can be completed.
6. Multi-session courses
Courses consisting of several sessions are designed as one continuous programme. Participants are expected to attend all scheduled sessions.
If a participant misses a session, we cannot guarantee that the planned ceramic piece or project can be completed within the original course.
Where possible, PURACERÂMICA may offer an Open Studio session corresponding to the number of hours missed. The date and time of this replacement session will be determined by PURACERÂMICA according to studio availability.
7. Ceramics, firing and finished pieces
Ceramics are handmade materials and the drying, glazing and firing process can produce natural variations in colour, texture, shape and finish.
Despite careful handling, cracking, warping, glaze variations or other firing-related imperfections can occasionally occur. PURACERÂMICA cannot guarantee an identical or technically perfect result for every handmade piece.
Estimated collection times are approximate and may vary depending on drying, glazing, kiln schedules and studio workload.
8. Collection and storage of ceramics
Finished ceramic pieces should be collected within a reasonable period after they are ready.
Pieces that remain uncollected for more than 3 months may, at our discretion, be disposed of, donated or used within the studio, including as display pieces.
We therefore recommend collecting finished work as soon as possible after receiving confirmation that it is ready.
9. Vouchers and gift certificates
PURACERÂMICA vouchers are not transferable unless expressly stated otherwise.
- Vouchers for pottery painting are valid for 1 year from the date of issue.
- Vouchers for workshops and courses are valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
A voucher must be used within its validity period and is subject to availability for the selected service.
10. Group, school and institutional bookings
Group, school and institutional bookings may require advance planning, special material orders and reserved studio capacity.
These bookings should generally be arranged at least 2 months in advance.
A deposit of at least 30% may be required to confirm the booking. A higher deposit may be requested where PURACERÂMICA needs to place special or customised orders for ceramics or materials.
Any individual quotation or written agreement supplied for a group booking forms part of the booking conditions.
11. Participant responsibility
Participants must follow reasonable studio instructions and use tools, materials and equipment responsibly.
Children and participants requiring supervision must be accompanied as specified for the relevant activity.
PURACERÂMICA reserves the right to stop participation where behaviour creates a safety risk to the participant, other visitors, staff, equipment or the studio.
12. Changes by PURACERÂMICA
In exceptional circumstances, including instructor illness, technical problems or circumstances outside our reasonable control, we may need to change, postpone or cancel a workshop or session.
Where PURACERÂMICA cancels a paid service and no suitable alternative can be agreed, the amount paid for the cancelled service will be refunded.
13. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable consumer law.
14. Contact
